Calf muscle strain

There are many common abrasions and contusions however, the ankle sprain is the most common injury, followed by the muscle strain on the front and back of the thigh, and the knee joint injury is the second most common. Among them, knee ligament injuries, patella fractures, and patella osteochondrosis are quite rare, but once they do occur, treatment becomes more difficult.

Goalkeepers are most likely to get injuries to their wrists and elbows because they often drop the ball

Cause of injury

Fierce confrontation in the game

In the competition, fierce competition, sprinting and tackles are prone to muscle strains in the thighs and calves. Sudden changes in position, sudden twisting of the lower leg abduction and adduction can cause damage to the knee ligaments and bone ankle injuries.

Common injuries such as abrasions, traumatic bursitis, (knee and elbow), knee anterior cruciate ligament or posterior cruciate ligament injury and meniscus cartilage injury, cerebral hemorrhage caused by collision, and even concussion.

The causes of these injuries are: athletes' foul movements and incorrect technique are the main causes of injuries, followed by poor venues and athletes' excessive fatigue.

1. Insufficient Preparation

Failure to do warm-up activities or insufficient warm-up activities is another major cause of sports injuries. If you don’t do well-prepared activities, you are involved in intense training or competitions. At this time, nerves and muscles are less excited and have a greater impact. The stimulus is unresponsive.

This makes the muscles and certain ligaments small, limited joint activity, insufficient stretchability,  and poor physical coordination. In this case, muscle strains and joint sprains are most likely to occur.

2. Fatigue Period

After a long period of high-volume training or competition, without proper rest, and then strenuous exercise, all aspects of the body's functions have been greatly reduced at this time. If you do not add water and electrolytes such as Na+ and K+ in time, It will cause the electrolyte balance in the body to be disordered, causing muscle excitability to increase and muscle spasm.

3. Venue

The uneven playing field can easily cause sprains of the ankle and knee joints.

Or because there is no formal venue, when practicing on the cement floor, it is easy to cause the players' ankle and knee joints to have a small cushion and cause injury.
